The site Designers and Books publishes lists of books that designers of all types identify as personally important—books that have shaped their values, their worldview, and their ideas about design. A great feature of the site is that as you browse you can tag books you’re interested in and then end up with your own reading list.

All Over Coffee

All Over Coffee is a strip that is published every Sunday in the San Francisco Chronicle. I discovered Paul Madonna and his work in the book All Over Coffee, the first collection of those strips—it’s one of my favorite books. The strip features sketches from all over San Francisco, often with commentary. A new collection will be available in March 2001, called Everything Is Its Own Reward.
